About LaplandSnow
An honest answer to one question: will the children see snow?
LaplandSnow is for families with a trip to Finnish Lapland booked, or nearly booked, who want to know how likely snow is at their destination in their month.
What we do
We turn decades of weather-station records into a Snow Score from 0 to 100 for 8 destinations, with a likely range, a confidence level and the reasons behind them. Every number says where it comes from and which station measured it.
What we do not do
- We do not predict the weather. These pages describe a typical month based on past winters.
- We do not measure snow on the slopes. Our stations can be several kilometres from the resorts and slopes.
- We are not part of any resort or tour operator.
